I don't know about you guys, but when I first start to become involved with someone the number one thing I want to know is how they feel about me. Not just if they really like you, but what kind of relationship they want. Different people want different things, especially as a teenager. So how do you know if the person you like wants a serious relationship, or just friends with benefits? I often have a hard time with this, because it's so easy to get mixed signals. One second he's all over you and the next he isn't answering your texts! Too often we're scared to be up front and ask them what they want, and I don't blame anyone! You never want to scare off a new love interest. The last thing you want is for the guy to think that you're moving too fast. I like to play it by ear, maybe have your friends do a little spying and ask him how he feels about you and what he wants out of the relationship, but make sure they don't push it. After a little while, you should be able to tell by how far the relationship is going. If it's just hanging out and doing the same thing every weekend, and you want more, then maybe it is time to have "the talk" with him. But make sure that you don't make it a big deal and always start it positively. Tell him what you love about the relationship and that you don't want it to change, you just need some clarification. Before you do this, make sure that you and him are at the level where you're comfortable with communicating. If not, and nothings changing, it may be time to find a new guy! We're still young and there are plenty of amazing people out there, you just need to find them!
